Now, Tsubaki's heart has started skipping a beat --- ....

Page 2/38

Right ... ! I'm going to take a picture of you now --- !

Oh, dear ... Kanno-san ...

You don't need to have such a serious look on your face, though .... ?

... this month's feature story, "Our Wonderful Salesladies." ...

This photo will appear in our company newsletter, ....

Page 3/38

So, come on ... Smile ---- !

Excuse me ...

Ahh ...

I'm a serious person ... So, could you please go ahead as it is ... ?

Right ---. Then, I'm taking your picture now ...

She is right, actually ....

KANNO Tsubaki, 25 years old ...

Kanno-san is always cool and calm ... But, she is such a diligent worker ... Please put this information into her story, all right ... ?

[Tsubaki is thinking.] Oh, thank you very much, Manager ...

Seriously, ... I'm scared of smiling in public ....

Page 4/38

Page 5/38

Ummmm .... While I have a chance, I really want to have a quiet drink, ... just me and HIM ....

( Whispering. )

... Oh, NO ... Not again ... He isn't the one we're looking for ...

Seriously ... When is Tsubaki-chan's MAN showing up .... ?

Ummmm .... While I have a chance, I really want to tell HIM, "Don't you dare think about cheating on Tsubaki." ...

Huh ... ? If HE does that sort of thing, I don't go easy on HIM, of course ....

Oh, don't worry ... We're just talking about ... "If HE does that sort of thing, we would do so and so ...," anyway ...

Stop that, you two --- !

Let me clarify this ... HE isn't MY MAN at all ...

Oh, come on ... How long has it been since I heard from you that .... you met a MAN, hmmm .... ?

When I got in trouble the other day, ... he helped me out a lot ... That's all ...

But, I'm relieved ... Because, you let me know this exciting news ... before you would end up being like this ...

Oh, 10 years, then ....

"Surume-ika (dried squid)."

Don't say that ... !! Do you think I would be like a "Surume-ika (dried squid)." ... ? [ NOTE: Surume Ika - I enjoyed the dried squid with No.1 Japanese beer this night ] "It is getting hotter day by day in Japan. The season for beer has come ! Actually I drank chilled beer this night along with Japanese finger foods. Generally, we Japanese call the finger foods and nibbles eaten along with alcoholic drinks, "O-tsumami." As well as "Eda-mame," a traditional Japanese dried squid snack, "Surume-ika" goes well with beer. "Surume-ika" is widely known as a traditional dried food in Asia including Japan. The snack food is made drying the squid whose internal organs are removed as unneeded things after the body is cut open, so the dried food has a whole shape of squid." [Recommendation of Unique Japanese Products and Culture]

Or, 9 years .... ?

8 years ... ?

Page 6/38

Listen ... We're worried about you, my dear ...

Because, you're my best friend, Tsubaki ....

Because, you're like my little sister, Tsubaki-chan ...

Gosh ... I can't believe this ... !!

... I don't want you two to tell anything totally unnecessary to my father, please ...

Oh, all right, then --- ...

You are THAT professional wrestler, SHŌNO Kazuki-san, aren't you ... !?

Ahhh ... I'm a huge fan of yours ....

[Customer] Ohhh ... It means this "Izakaya" pub is run by .... ?

Of course, I went to that Summer-time-Match held in Tokyo Dome ... !! [ NOTE ] Tokyo Dome is a stadium in Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan. Construction on the stadium began on May 16, 1985, and it opened on March 17, 1988. It has a maximum total capacity of 57,000 depending on configuration, with an all-seating configuration of 42,000. It is the home field of the Yomiuri Giants baseball team, and has also hosted music concerts, basketball, American football and @ssociation football games, as well as "puro-resu (pro-wrestling)" matches, mixed martial arts events, kick-boxing events, and monster truck races. It is also the location of the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame which chronicles the history of baseball in Japan [Wikipedia].

Oh, really ... ? Thank you very much ... !!

Wow ~~~~. Just as I thought ... Here he is, KANNO Sasuke ~~~~ !!

Here they are, Kazuki ... "Tekka-donburi" and "Omu-soba." ... You love eating these, don't you ..... ? [ NOTE 1 ] "Tekka-donburi" is a rice bowl dish with Sashimi grade tuna marinated in soy sauce, Sake, and Mirin served over vinegared rice ("Sushi-meshi"), garnish with sesame seeds and Nori seaweed [Just One Cookbook]. [ NOTE 2 ] "Omu-soba" - Fried noodles wrapped in thin Omelette [Japanese Cookbook 101].

Thanks, my Master ...

"Tekka-donburi."

"Omu-soba."

Page 7/38

Oh, I'm sorry, sir ... I was so excited ... That's why I called just your name (without adding "-san," an honorific t1tle) ....

I ... have watched your match performance on DVDs so many times ....

May I ask you to shake my hand, sir ... ?

Gosh, I am deeply moved ... Really, I could cry ....

Well ... It's something that happened in the past ... How embarr@ssing ...

Of course ... Your father is a legendary pro-wrestler ... That's why ....

Amazing ... Somebody still remembers what my father was like ....

Ahh ... But, it is lovely to know .... even now, somebody still remembers that Dad was once a great professional wrestler .....

And, Miki (her first name) .... Your husband, SHŌNO Kazuki, is the top one among young pro-wrestlers ....

Well, Master ...

It's my great pleasure ... Do take care, and good luck ....

Oh, thank you very much, Tsubaki ....

We really enjoyed your lovely food ... !

Oh, Miki ... You use this ...

Don't let your body get cold, please ...

Page 8/38

[Tsubaki] Next time, I am going to see 3 people including you, I believe ...

Thanks ... I look forward to it ...

When you actually become a mother, ... I will take a paid leave ....

... and I'm going to the US to see you, definitely ....

In the US as well, ... I always wanted to made my debut ... Anyway, I will work my butt off to achieve my goal, sir ...

Amazing ... Kazuki seems to be thinking and talking about something like "Daddy" now ....

Right ... Shall we close up today .... ?

Indeed ...

Yes ...

Page 9/38

Well ... I found this book on the ground ...

THAT time, ...

He didn't come here today, either .....

... I was unable to see his face clearly (because I wasn't wearing my gl@sses) ....

... Excuse me, if you like, ...

But, when I heard his voice, ... it made me feel, "Oh, he must be a honest and faithful person." .....

... shall I walk you home ... ?

"The other day, ... I really loved that Tamago-yaki (rolled omelette)." ....

Ummm .... Perhaps, he was just trying to be nice and polite, then ...

"So, may I pop into your father's pub restaurant again ... ?"

But, I ...

Page 10/38

... get the sense that ... I will never fall in love with anybody ...

Do you have some fountain pens you'd like to recommend .... ?

Yes, sir ...

Is this for a present ... ?

Or, --- ....

KANNO.

Page 11/38

h*llo ....

[Tsubaki] Oh ... Why do you know I'm working here .... ?

Well ...

I heard it from your father the other day ....

Is that so ... ?

[Tsubaki is thinking.] Dad ... You told him such a thing, too .... ?

Well ...

I'm sorry to bother you when you are at work ... But, Could you have a few minutes to spare ... ? There is something that I want to talk about with you ....

Could you make it a bit later, please .... ?

I take a lunch break in 15 minutes ....

Page 12/38

Really and truly, that day, ... you helped me a lot to find that gentleman customer ....

Please let me thank you again ....

(This 10,000 Yen note ...) I really enjoyed your father's food .... So, simply, I thought I have to make a payment ....

Here ... That 10,000 Yen (approx. USD 88.37) note .... You accidentally made a payment, didn't you .... ?

Oh, No ... It was a small token of my grat1tude, indeed ....

Right ...

And, that handkerchief which you kindly let me use the other day ....

(Also, you don't need to leave one 10,000 note ... ) Because, we don't charge a lot for the food at my father's "Izakaya" pub ....

Then, please allow me to take up your offer ....

No, thank YOU ... I'm glad to know you enjoyed eating that food ....

Thank you for that delicious meal ....

Page 13/38

Then, it's my turn now ... This is a small token of my grat1tude, though ....

Tsubaki-san ... Would you like to go on a date with me .... ?

In fact, ... I got this from my friend ....

... I beg your pardon ... ?

Going on a date with you .... ?

●Theatrical performance, "Gekkō-no-Reijin (Lit., A beautiful lady in the moonlight)." ●Original Story: "Gekkō-no-Reijin (Lit., A beautiful lady in the moonlight)" by MUGITA Megumi. ●Director and scriptwriter: George XXXX.

Why ... ? We just met quite recently ... And, I still don't know much about you .... So, I ... cannot accept that ....

I see ....

Page 14/38

When I see this original author's name, ... it came to my mind immediately, .... "Oh, she is the author of that Manga story book which Tsubaki-san purchased that day ...."

Gosh, this is a very precious stage performance ticket ... !! Based on the-20-volume-in-total Manga series, "Gekkō-no-Reijin (Lit., A beautiful lady in the moonlight)" by MUGITA Megumu-sensei, ....

... now, it was adapted into the stage play for the first time with that super-popular performer .... Everybody knows that she used to play the male lead role in the all-female Takarazuka Musical Theatre ..... [ NOTE ] The Takarazuka Revue is a Japanese all-female musical theatre troupe based in Takarazuka, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. Women play all roles in lavish, Broadway-style productions of Western-style musicals, and sometimes stories adapted from Shōjo Manga and Japanese folktales. The company is a division of the Hankyu Railway company; all members of the troupe are employed by the company. The Takarazuka Revue was founded by KOBAYASHI Ichizō (1873-1957), an industrialist-turned-politician and president of Hankyu Railways, in Takarazuka, Japan in 1913. The city was the terminus of a Hankyu line from Osaka and already a popular tourist destination because of its hot springs. KOBAYASHI believed that it was the ideal spot to open an attraction of some kind that would boost train ticket sales and draw more business to Takarazuka. Since Western song and dance shows were becoming more popular and KOBAYASHI considered the "Kabuki" theatre to be old and elitist, he decided that an all-female theater group might be well received by the general public [Wikipedia].

I can't see this play .... unless I win "a ticket" in a drawing ..... I tried, however, I couldn't make it, of course ....

XXX 28th (Wednesday).

First and foremost, ... this performance day is my day off ... !!

---- In that case, ...

... I have to find someone else to go with me .....

Page 15/38

Ahhh .... Wait a moment, please .....

Miki.

Right ... And, you decided to go with him, right .... ?

... Yes ...

What is his profession ... ?

Ummm ... I don't know ...

Page 16/38

He said ... his name is "Tōma" ....

Good ... Then, go for it ... It's like rehabilitation that could help you to recover from the previous emotional-damage ... Oh, why not ... ?

Tōma ... ?

But, we're going to the theatre ... I have no idea what to wear, though ....

Yes, Tōma .... (I don't know that is his first name or family name. But,) if it is his family name, ... Tōma could be 藤間 in Kanji Chinese Characters ... ?

Also, I have no idea ....

Oh, he is 25 years old, apparently ... So that, we are the same age ...

But, you have the impression that he is a nice person, right .... ?

... what to talk with him, actually ....

Well ... I don't think he is a bad or wicked person, though ...

"Gekkō-no-Reijin (Lit., A beautiful lady in the moonlight)" by MUGITA Megumi.

"Gekkō-no-Reijin (Lit., A beautiful lady in the moonlight)" by MUGITA Megumi.

Well, well .... Good luck to you, my dear ~~~~.

Thank you for listening ...

( Someone opened the door. )

Oh ... Sorry, Tubaki ... Kazu-kun (her husband) has just come home ....

"Gekkō-no-Reijin (Lit., A beautiful lady in the moonlight)" by MUGITA Megumi.

Sorry for disturbing you during a busy time ... (You were in the middle of cooking dinner, weren't you ?)

Page 17/38

Oh ,dear --- ....

I'm nervous ...

( People are talking. )

"Gekkō-no-Reijin (Lit., A beautiful lady in the moonlight)."

Page 18/38

h*llo ...

h*llo ...

[Tōma] Well, you do look different today ....

..... So do you, Tōma-san ....

[Tōma] And, ... you're not wearing the gl@sses today .... ?

Well ... I'm wearing contact lenses ... because I think I can see the stage better ...

Page 19/38

For some reason, .... you seem to keep your guard up today --- ...

Because I asked you out on a date, ... you are too cautious, perhaps .... ?

For instance, ... this outfit looks like a suit of armour .....

Oh, simply ... I wear what I want, though ...

Oh, yes, of course ... I'm sorry ...

Oh, my ... He must be a professional model ... ?

Page 20/38

Wow .... He is treating me like a lady, all right ...

Page 21/38

Which one would you like coffee or tea .... ?

And, he is comfortable with women, I can tell ....

Oh, thank you very much ... Well, may I have tea, please ....

( The lights went out. )

I .... shouldn't be careless enough to let my guard down ....

The show is about to start ... !!

( Straightened up her back. )

( Spotlights on. )

( Quickly. )

Page 24/38

[Tsubaki] Unquestionably, that particular scene, which Jo and Ryan parted, was great ... !

Furthermore, the ending scene was admirable ... !

Also, I was impressed with those performers ... who know how to pause ... It wasn't too long, yet not too short ...

Simply, it was superb ... That gave me chills, actually ...

This stage play took a different look from the one of its original story ....

Each performer acted like ... he/she turned grief and pain into p@ssion ... I love it ... !!

Yes, it was convincing ... !!

( Yes ! )

That was great ... !!

Page 25/38

( Chuckle. )

( Laughing out loud. )

Oops ... He thinks I spoke fervently about that .... ?

I agree ... it was very interesting to see that play ...

But, I also found ... it was really interesting to see you, Tsubaki-san ....

Page 26/38

Because, I saw ... yours looked exactly the same as that main character's facial expression ...

When that main character suffered emotional pain, ... you looked sad and lonely, too ...

For instance, when that main character sensed danger, ... you looked scared and nervous ....

And, when that main character smiled, .... you were smiling beautifully, indeed ....

So that, Tsubaki-san, ... I think ...

... Excuse me ?

Page 27/38

.... you are good at expressing your own emotions ...

Page 28/38

Hey ... Is that true you broke up with Kanno-san ... ? [ Translator's NOTE ] This boy was Tsubaki's boyfriend when they were high school students.

Well ... Kanno-san ... Every time you join us, ...

Really ... ! You're dealing with customers ... But, you never smiles ... ! Gosh, you're so rude ... !

XXX University.

Yeah ... Seriously, she is impossible ...

She never smiles ...

.... our fun seemed to be ruined ...

Say ... She looks perfectly like a (heartless) robot ....

Right ... I will never do shopping here anymore ... !!

If you aren't keen to be with us, .... you don't need to push yourself too hard to come here ...

Page 29/38

... --- Why ?

Don't look at me ... !

Oh, NO ... He totally surprised me ... I can't stop shedding tears now ...

Page 30/38

Please use this ...

Don't ... look at me ....

Sure ...

.... Was I really ....

... smiling ... ?

Page 31/38

...... To be exact, "Your face brought gently into a smile," though ....

.... Yes, you were ....

.... am not good at smiling in public ...

... Actually, I ...

Page 32/38

That's why ... I tend to upset people, I'm afraid ....

... Every time such a thing happens, ....

... I always hate myself ....

Am I good at expressing my own emotions ... ? Seriously, no one has ever told me that before ....

... So, ....

... thank you very much ....

Page 33/38

I told you, ... "Don't look at me." ....

I've found ... you are honest to yourself, too ....

No ...

Page 34/38

( Fireworks were shot in the sky. )

( Bang ! )

Page 35/38

Wow ... !

We usually don't have a chance to watch fireworks around this time of year ... But, Why, today ... ?

I wonder about that, too ...

... Beautiful ....

Page 36/38

After this, how about we go for dinner .... ?

Page 37/38

Thank you very much for asking ...

But, today ... I'm going home ...

Oh, what a pity ....

Today, I really enjoyed it ... Thank you very much ...
